Joe Dombrowski’s International Incidents

Joe has had the privilege of taking part in two major events as of late with international implications!

First, Joe served as host of Masked Republic’s “Masked Mania” iPPV on April 27 emanating from the former ECW Arena in Philadelphia, PA. The event was the first ever Lucha Libre card presented worldwide with English commentary! Timeless legends such as the original La Parka, Dr. Wagner Jr., Solar, Negro Navarro, plus modern-day attractions like the exotico Cassandro and talents like “Spartan” Matt Cross, Christina Von Eerie, and the Osirian Portal gave this event a very unique and colorful feel.

Joe was joined for the first time ever by Leonard F. Chikarason, as well as Sean “X-Pac” Waltman, who has lived and competed in Mexico during his career. The card is still available for iPPV replay at Maskedmania.com and will be released on DVD before long.

Then, on May 9, Joe was re-united with Matt Striker to present Border City Wrestling vs. New Japan Pro Wrestling as part of BCW’s “East Meets West” event in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Booker T served as special enforcer in the main event, neutralizing longtime enemy Scott D’Amore, and the rest of the card was a virtual who’s who of the best of both promotions including Okada, Tanahashi, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Petey Williams, Karl Anderson, Tyson Dux, and many others. This event was also filmed for future DVD release, and talks are on-going of additional ways to release this historic card!
